 Patricia Schumacher – Owner

Patricia Schumacher – Owner

Patricia is an RN with a depth of experience in the healthcare field and the senior population. She has worked extensively in both the Critical Care and Home Health Care fields. As a coordinator for clinical trials, Patricia worked on research for Alzheimer’s and other Neurodegenerative disorders as well as the national RAND study, “Assessing the Care of Vulnerable Elders”. Other past experience includes working as a Stroke Outcomes Coordinator for a primary stroke center and as a clinical surveyor for hospitals. As the owner of Home Care Assistance, Patricia is dedicated to ease the transitions in aging and senior care throughout Rhode Island.

Patti Fish – Community Liaison

Patti is passionate about the company’s mission: “Changing the Way the World Ages.”  She is highly motivated to help more people age successfully in place with a true sense of meaning and purpose. Patti joins HCA of RI with a BA in Communications, bilingual background in Portuguese-English, and over twenty years of international experience as a successful entrepreneur and business consultant. In her roles as the Community Liaison and Client Coordinator, Patti is committed to leveraging  her entrepreneurial spirit and abilities to  connect with the community and build strong client relationships. Her purpose-driven determination makes her a valuable member of our team.

Alyson LaTraverse - Staffing Associate

Alyson LaTraverse – Staffing Associate

Alyson is the Staffing Associate at Home Care Assistance of R I working closely with the Care Managers and Care Assistants to ensure that our clients receive excellent service delivery. Alyson works diligently to ensure each client is matched with an ideal caretaker for their individual needs. Alyson has worked in private homes and facility residences as a CNA, working with the elder population for eight years before accepting her new role. Paying close attention to detail and focusing on personalizing care has helped Alyson develop a deep understanding client needs. It is gratifying to work for a company like Home Care Assistance of RI because their unique approach to home care is unlike anything I’ve seen. We take it beyond the activities of daily living and try to promote healthy dieting, exercise and social interaction. Its a breath of fresh air seeing the elder senior population stay home longer, this makes all I do worth while!

Chastity Machado – Client Care Associate

Chastity is very passionate about serving the senior population to “Change the Way the World Ages.” Chastity holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies, experience in Healthcare Administration, and has a strong background as a referral specialist and care manager. As the Client Care Associate for Home Care Assistance of Rhode Island, Chastity supports the communication and Quality Assurance of services for clients, client’s loved ones, caregivers, and support staff. Communication is key to creating a trusting and supportive team, providing quality care, and tailoring care service plans to promote peace of mind. Chastity’s deep knowledge of our aging population makes her a key asset to implement a balanced care approach to meet the evolving needs of seniors.
